2 Ways To Search For #Facebook Hashtags

By now, you probably already know that Facebook has started using hashtags. As soon as the news came out, businesses and marketers went crazy. They see a new opportunity here, a way to widen their market reach very easily. If you don't know how to use Facebook hashtags, there are actually two ways to go about it.

The first one is by using the Facebook search tool found at the top of the website. Before hashtags came to the picture, if people needed to search for something on Facebook, they would just type the word or phrase in the search bar. Now, if you are looking for a particular hashtag, you need to use # plus the keyword. For example, if you want to search for strollers, you simply need to type #strollers. Easy enough?

Now the second method is by using the Facebook URL. Simply type " https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/<keyword> ". So using the keyword above, you can simply type" https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/<strollers> " and it will lead you to posts with the hashtag #strollers in them.

Ok, pause button. Facebook.com really is a good small business resource. Just got a message from someone at http://outlandoutfitting.com and I'm honestly interested! Alright, getting back on course here.

Now that you know how to search Facebook hashtags, your next objective is to find out what hashtags your potential customers are using!

I'll point out that I actually got the idea for this posting talking to Brian over at Calitso. Thanks for the idea. I guess you discover inspiration in unanticipated places.
